The multi-award winning Gold-A6 receives a special enhancement for its sides and back: a gorgeous exotic tonewood named Bocote. Bocote is best known for its majestic wood grain patterns in yellow, orange and dark brown colors with distinct black lines, but it is also known for its warm and deep sound much like rosewood. The rest of the Gold-A6 Bocote remains the same with outstanding features like the ATV (Aged-to-Vintage) torrefied top, sonically enhanced UV finish, and Fishman® Flex Blend system, and with the introduction of the new Bocote option, our most popular Gold Series guitar is now more enticing than ever.

Aged to Vintage Top
A vintage instrument is the holy grail of acoustic guitar tone. The wood on the top cures and opens up more over time. This unleashes a tonal quality that is missing in new instruments – until now. Using a special process we call ATV (Aged To Vintage), we treat the solid sitka spruce top to give it that big and open tone of a decades-old, highly-sought-after acoustic. This torrefaction process delivers that amazing tone to you right out of the box.

Solid Sitka Spruce Top with Solid Bocote Back & Sides
Best known for its majestic wood grain patterns, the exotic Bocote comes from the same family as Ziricote and is found in the similar region (Central America to Northern Amazon). Tonally speaking, Bocote is more similar to rosewood and has warm, deep bass, broad spectrum of mids, and plenty of good volume with long sustain. Bocote is a perfect match for the premium grade solid Sitka spruce top found in our Gold Series, with a brilliant and clear high-end, warm and rich midrange, and a deep but tight low-end for a beautifully balanced combination of tones.

Auditorium Cutaway Body Type
With dimensions of 4 5/8″ (117mm) body depth, upper bout width at 11 1/2″ (292mm) and lower bout width at 16″ (405mm), the Auditorium body size is perfectly in between the large Dreadnought and the more intimate Grand Concert. This makes the Auditorium body type ideal for both strumming/flatpicking and fingerstyle playing and suits the versatile acoustic player who prefers to have one guitar to cover a variety of sounds and playing styles.
